Yesterday, we were able to go on a field trip. We drove about 1 1/2 hrs to Tanner's Orchard. It was beautiful and so much fun. We learned a lot, made new friends, picked apples, played, got to see animals (Alex said her favorite was the llamas) and of course got to do some shopping!
The kids were very interested in the fact that they have bees brought in the spring to pollinate the trees. Also we learned that the average apple tree produces good apples for 15-25 years, depending on the ground and the weather.
The cider was YUMMY, by the way!

This was Ben, our tour guide. He was funny! |

This was actually before we got going and she was not really wanting to pose for pictures. |
